Zilzie Wines Proudly Supporting Kids Under Cover
Founded in 1989 by Ken Morgan, Kids Under Cover work tirelessly to build homes and provide scholarships for homeless and at risk young people.
The partnership was kicked off in style at the annual Kids Under Cover Umbrella ball held at the Palladium at Crown Casino on Saturday 25th July 2009.
The 700-strong crowd embraced the ‘undercover’ mask theme and were entertained all night by an outstanding line-up of Australian entertainment including Daryl Braithwaite and Ross Wilson.
Zilzie impressed with a gorgeous selection of wines to complement the delicious three-course meal as well as providing auction prizes to help raise further funds. Zilzie’s ice sculpture was also a big hit on the night, instantly becoming the favourite back-drop for photo’s on arrival and throughout the night.
Close to home for Zilzie, Glenn Milne, the Mayor of Mildura also gave a moving personal account of the direct effect Kids Under Cover support is having on families and young people.
Kids Under Cover achieved an outstanding result on the night which created a net profit of $160,000.
